Kindergarten Cop II
January 31, 2005  2:12 AM

aka The Pacifier starring Vin Diesel.

This movie looks ridiculous.  Don't believe me?  Watch the trailer and see for yourself how much of a sellout this is.  It's Kindergarten Cop meets Mr. Mom meets Daddy Day Care.

Check it out.

While I'm on the subject, I'm tired of films that portray child-rearing as nothing but changing dirty diapers and running haphazardly through a grocery store.  Dirty diapers are the least of a real parent's concerns.  The kids in these movies never seem to have any personality or feelings of their own.  They just stand by idly while the adults run around frantically.  You could swap these kids from one movie to the next, because they're all the same in the eyes of Hollywood.  Those cliches are played out.  How about a film that addresses children in a realistic - but still humorous - way?  Oh, I just remembered, Hollywood has no idea what it means to raise kids.  These are people who stay perpetually single, and if they do have kids they hire 2 nannies per child.  Never mind.

My daughter is a big fat liar.
January 30, 2005  11:23 PM

CrocoKid likes to play with shoes.  She'll put on a pair of my shoes and try to walk around in them.  When I ask her, "Are you wearing daddy's shoes?"  She sometimes says "no," and then laughs like a monkey on heroin.

At night when she's getting sleepy, she'll yawn and rub her eyes.  When I ask her, "Are you tired?".  She says "no.", then runs away laughing and yelling.  Then I put her in bed and she falls asleep.

Clearly, she is a lying, conniving, little bitch!

It's amazing that females know how to lie at such a young age.  Manipulation is just another manuever in the game of learning to be a woman.

Worst weatherman ever
January 28, 2005  7:46 PM

Have you ever watched a weatherman masterfully work his way through the digital backdrop and wonder how much practice it takes to become so fluent in televised weathercasting?  Here's a guy who needs a lot more practice.
Poor guy ... Watch the video

My prediction for Apprentice 3
January 28, 2005  7:37 PM

Two weeks into the season and I'm ready to predict the winner.  I'd like to point out that I have successfully predicted the winner of Seasons 1 & 2, as well as the winner of the last 2 Survivors, and both teams in this year's Superbowl (Philly and New England).  I have a track record that makes the following prediction worth paying attention to.

The winner will be John.

I don't know if that's saying very much, though. None of the contestants this year would have won in season one or two.

And rumor has it that this might be Trump's last season of the show.  As soon as he's not on the show, I stop watching.  The other networks have already proven that the formula doesn't work with just anybody (Mark Cuban & Richard Branson, anyone?).

This is my blog, deal with it
January 28, 2005  6:05 PM

Because of an article I wrote last year, I have some explaining to do.  In Blog This! I calmly explained how stupid and worthless most blogs are.  And here I am, a year later, with my own blog.  Here's the deal: other bloggers suck ass, but I don't.  I KICK ass.

So I've relocated the "crocoPuffs News" section to the blog (here).  And now I have a place to write about things that frankly didn't merit an entire feature before.  I cringe at the thought of how much brilliance has been left off my site because I only had a couple sentences to write about a topic.

And yes, now that blogging has matured, and some actual GOOD writers have started blogging, I'm willing to admit that SOME blogs can be witty, insightful, and well-written.  Of course, none of them as much as this one.

The other item I might need to address is in my FAQ (here), where I wrote this:

Q: You should have reader "talkbacks" or message boards.
A: No way, rookie. This site is better off with less of you and more of me.

Because this blog will allow user comments, that answer is now only partially correct.  This site is STILL better off with less of you and more of me, but the "No way, rookie" is now a fib.  I think I'll leave it as is, though.  There are still plenty of morons who will never figure out how to post a comment anyway.
