March 14, 2007 12:28 PM An expedition to the North Pole intended to raise awareness of global warming was canceled when one group member got frostbite on her toes. Oh, the irony is thick. Here are some choice tidbits from the story: "temperature inside their tent at 58 degrees below zero, and outside temperatures were exceeding 100 below zero." "They were experiencing temperatures that weren't expected with global warming." "But one of the things we see with global warming is unpredictability." Whew! Good thing they were able to save face by pulling the "unpredictable" card.
