Ratings System

When I rented Army of Darkness, it was categorized in the action section at my video store.  Notice that it was not in the horror section.  More appropriately it should be in the comedy section.  This is straight slapstick and one-liners, the Three Stooges' influence on Raimi has never been more apparent.  There are a few good ones, but unfortunately many of the jokes fall flat.  The story is non-essential, but the effects are pretty good, with a nod to the old Harryhousen skeletons.  It's marginally entertaining, and certainly not the classic that some folks seem to think it is.
