The first half of Comic Book Villains is pretty good.  But why in the world did a movie about comic book store owners devolve into a series of gunfights and explosions?!?  It makes no sense.  I would have preferred this movie be more intellectual.  Didn't anybody involved read the script and think "hmm, that ending is all wrong".  Or perhaps the script had a completely different ending, and then some producer came along and said "hey, how about adding some 'splosions and stuff?  That'd be cool!"

If you're interested in the world of comic books, it's worth watching.  It's amusing, but totally average.

This is one of those movies where you recognize every actor you see, but can't name them and can't name the other movies they were in (except Eileen Brennan from Private Benjamin).

crocoCat says:   "Marvel comics kicks DC comics ass!"
