The first Austin Powers movie was satire, good fun comedy. The sequels have become more of a farce, and that's not a compliment in my book. They are still funny, but not laugh-out-loud funny, more like clever-cute-and-funny-enough-to-make-me-smirk.
There are a number of misfires, some funny sequences (the teenage Austin and Evil are a hoot), but no hilarious scenes. The movie-within-a-movie idea is the best part of Goldmember, but it has virtually nothing to do with the rest of the story, so it feels like throwaway material.
If you liked the second movie, then you'll like this one too. If you're not a fan of the characters, then you won't care for this entry in the franchise either.
