Man, just the thought of seeing Hannibal Lecter on screen again makes me salivate (lame cannibal reference #1).  Gratefully, Anthony Hopkins serves up a delicious helping (#2) of Lecter in 'Hannibal'.  Following the book pretty closely, it leaves out some details and a character or two, and (thank God) they changed the ending to something that doesn't make me want to hunt down Thomas Harris and eat his liver (#3).

It's not as gory as you might think, but the anticipation ate at me (#4) and created some suspenseful anxiety.  Even crocoWife's hands were getting clammy at one point (even though she won't admit it).  Julianne Moore cooks up (#5) a not too shabby version of Clarice, Hopkins drops back into Hannibal like old slippers, and the performances from the rest of the cast are very good as well.  The bottom line is, you know you want to see it, and you won't be too disappointed.  Maybe it's not the best of the best of the best, but it's definitely worth sinking your teeth into (#6).

"Okey-dokey".  Rare occasion when the movie is better than the book.

AngryPirate says:   "Aarrrr!  That Lecter is a wimpy little, scurvy-invested lad!  Har-har!"
