I'm sure the pitch for Interview with the Assassin went like this: "It's JFK meets The Blair Witch Project." That's basically what you've got here. An investigation of a man who claims to be the second shooter on the grassy knoll, filmed from a first-person perspective by the camera operator who is interviewing the man.
The style of the film creates a few old-fashioned suspenseful moments. Other moments made me chuckle with their ambiguous nature, such that we don't know what's really happening. Is he being followed or isn't he? Is that a person hiding in the shadows or just a cat?
Raymond J. Barry's performance is worth noting, he comes across as extremely believable in the role of the confessing second gunman. If there actually was a second gunman, this is pretty much what you would expect him to be like 40 years later.

You definitely want to see JFK before seeing this.

"C'mon, is that a true story?"
