There's no reason I should like this film.  The premise is contrived, the most obvious of actors are cast for the leads, sickly-sweet romantic comedies are played, yet ... somehow, I liked this movie.  I feel embarrassed writing that.

What can I say?  It made me laugh.  It works.  It's lightweight fluff for sure, maybe I was just in the right mood today, I don't know, but it entertained me, and I'd watch it again if it happened to be on.

I do have to admit that the ending is lame.  Inevitably in a movie like this there must be the big revelation when all deceit comes to light.  Then the characters go through the usual run-away and chase sequence because they really love each other but can't bear to stay together because of the contrivances of the script ... on and on ... blah, blah, blah.

Watch this film with your nagging girlfriend/wife and you can point out to her all the bullshit she does.
