Three things.  Sulley's fur, Mike's voice, and Boo's voice.

Sulley is the big blue monster, and the animation of his fur is incredible.  It's hard to believe it's animated and not a real pelt of blue and purple fur.  In fact all of the animation is very well done, as I would expect from Pixar, but Sulley's fur is the thing that really sticks out in my mind.

Mike is the little one-eyed green monster, and the schtick that Billy Crystal gives him is close to unbearable.  Crystal has traveled back in time to lift the voice of one of his old Saturday Night Live characters (pick one, any one) and infused it with schmaltz.  Hey Billy!  1983 called, it wants its' jokes back!

I understand Boo's voice was recordings of the daughter of one of Pixar's animators.  The authenticity of the squeaks and giggles really sells the little girl in the movie.  And the way she calls Sulley "kitty" is very cute.  Those are the words to describe this movie.  It's very cute.

The Hidden City Cafe.  It's based on a real life restaurant, virtually down the street from where I live.

crocoSaurusRex says:   "Those monsters don't know how to scare.  Watch this!  GRROOOWWRR!"
