I wish I had seen the original Nosferatu before seeing this.  I get the feeling that there are some in-jokes that I just didn't get.  Oh well, life goes on.  Vampire seems surprisingly lightweight considering the tone and themes.  I wasn't falling asleep watching it, but I wasn't exactly enthralled either.  The acting is pretty good, Dafoe in particular does an excellent job.  It was worth seeing, but unless it is being rerun on HBO or something, I'll probably never see it again.
