Some things are very difficult to pull off in movies.  One is to scare people; to really creep them out.  Another is to be unpredictable, unique and memorable.  The Ring accomplishes both of those things.  The audience I saw this with got fidgety at the right moments, jumped and screamed at the right moments, and laughed nervously afterwards.

It contains a number of memorable scenes, and a story that you won't soon forget.  It's so creepy you won't get it out of your head for a day or two.  I love this stuff.  Sometimes you go to a movie to laugh, sometimes to learn something, sometimes to get scared.  If you're the type who likes to get creeped out, be sure to see this film.  This is the kind of show that reminds me how much I love good, scary movies.

Naomi Watts is beautiful, she's great to watch on screen because she's also a terrific actor.  The story is told through her perspective and even though she's the heroine, we're never sure if she's going to survive to the end.

T-Fog, I triple-dog-dare you to see this.  If you do, I'll pay for your ticket and popcorn.

Several nods to Hitchcock movies, including one recreation of a famous scene from Psycho (no, not the shower scene), which is so recognizable it raises the stress level of the scene, because you know what's going to happen next, but you don't know exactly what you'll end up seeing.

crocoWife says:   "I covered my eyes so that I wouldn't have any nightmares."
